How do I book a photography session?
You can book a session by contacting us through our contact form, calling us, or sending an email. We'll discuss your vision, choose a date, and secure your session with a deposit.
What happens if it rains on our session day?
Weather happens! If conditions are unsafe or unworkable, we'll reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost. Light rain or overcast skies can actually create beautiful, soft lighting.
How far in advance should I book my family session?
I recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance for family sessions, especially during popular fall and holiday seasons. This ensures we can find a date that works for your family and allows time for location planning.
How far in advance should I book my wedding photographer?
I recommend booking 9-12 months in advance, especially for popular dates (spring and fall weekends). Once you have your venue and date confirmed, reach out to secure your spot.
When is the best time for a newborn session?
The ideal window is 5-14 days after birth, while baby is still very sleepy and curly. However, I photograph newborns up to 6 weeks old. Contact me during your pregnancy to get on my calendar!
When do you offer mini sessions?
I offer themed mini sessions throughout the year—spring wildflowers, fall colors, holiday/Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know when dates are announced!

How long does a typical session last?
Session lengths vary by type. Mini sessions are typically 20-30 minutes, while full family or portrait sessions last 1-2 hours. Wedding coverage can range from 4-10+ hours depending on your package.
Can you photograph large extended family groups?
Absolutely! I love photographing extended family gatherings. For groups of 10+, I recommend scheduling a longer session to ensure we capture all the different groupings and everyone has time to relax.
What if my kids won't cooperate during the session?
Kids will be kids! I'm experienced with photographing children of all ages and temperaments. My approach is relaxed and playful—I capture authentic moments rather than forced smiles. Some of the best images come from candid play!
Do you include pets in family sessions?
Yes! Furry family members are welcome. I recommend bringing a helper who can manage your pet between shots, and having treats handy for those perfect portrait moments.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! An engagement session is included with most wedding packages. It's a great way for us to get comfortable working together before your big day, and you'll have beautiful images for your save-the-dates.
Do you photograph elopements?
I love elopements! Wyoming offers incredible backdrops for intimate ceremonies. I offer elopement packages that can include coverage of your ceremony, portraits, and adventure sessions throughout the day.
Do you provide a second photographer?
A second photographer is recommended for weddings with 100+ guests or multiple simultaneous events. I work with talented associates who match my style. Second photographer coverage can be added to any package.
How do you keep newborns safe during sessions?
Safety is my top priority. I never use props that aren't fully supportive, always have a spotter for posed shots, and keep the studio warm and comfortable. I've completed newborn safety training and handle babies with the utmost care.
How long do newborn sessions typically last?
Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours to allow for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. There's no rushing—we work on baby's schedule. I recommend arriving fed but not immediately post-feeding.
Can siblings and parents be in newborn photos?
Absolutely! Family and sibling photos are a wonderful addition. I recommend keeping sibling time brief at the beginning when they're most cooperative, then focusing on baby while they rest.
How long are mini sessions?
Mini sessions are typically 20-30 minutes—enough time for multiple setups and plenty of great images, but short enough to keep everyone (especially little ones) happy and engaged.
Can extended family do a mini session?
Mini sessions work best for immediate families (up to 5-6 people). For extended family groups, I recommend a full session to ensure we have enough time for various groupings.
What's included in senior portrait sessions?
Senior sessions include outfit changes, multiple locations, and a variety of poses from casual to formal. You'll receive a private gallery with high-resolution images perfect for graduation announcements and yearbooks.
Do you offer professional headshots for businesses?
Yes! I provide professional headshots for teams and individuals. Whether you need LinkedIn photos, website headshots, or corporate team portraits, I can create consistent, polished images that represent your brand.
Do you photograph corporate events?
Yes! I cover corporate events including conferences, company parties, team celebrations, and professional gatherings. Images are delivered with a quick turnaround and can include corporate licensing.
What types of events do you photograph?
I photograph a variety of events including birthday parties, anniversaries, graduation celebrations, fundraisers, and community gatherings. If you're celebrating something special, I'd love to capture it!

When will I receive my photos?
You can expect to receive your edited photos within 2-3 weeks for portrait sessions and 4-6 weeks for weddings. You'll receive a private online gallery to view and download your images.
How many photos do I receive from a mini session?
Mini session galleries typically include 15-25 edited digital images—plenty for holiday cards, social media, and prints. Every image is fully edited and delivered in high resolution.
How quickly will I receive photos after an event?
Event galleries are typically delivered within 1-2 weeks. If you need rush delivery for press or marketing purposes, please let me know and we can arrange expedited editing.
Preparing for Your Session(2)
What should we wear for our session?
I recommend coordinating colors rather than matching exactly. Solid colors and soft patterns photograph well. Avoid large logos or neon colors. I'm happy to provide personalized outfit guidance!
How should I prepare for a headshot session?
Come well-rested and bring several outfit options in solid colors. Avoid busy patterns. Hair and makeup should be polished but natural. I'll guide you through posing to capture your most confident look.

Do you travel for sessions?
Yes! I serve Casper, Wyoming and surrounding areas including Mills, Evansville, Bar Nunn, Glenrock, and Douglas. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond 30 miles from Casper.
